(i) Use a tethered or self-closing gas cap on a fuel tank that stays sealed up to a positive pressure of 24.5 kPa (3.5 psig) or a vacuum pressure of 0.7 kPa (0.1 psig).

No need to weld new openings in your fuel necks. Our specially made neck inserts convert your existing fuel tank to be in compliance with this new regulation. These parts allow you to use the new tethered caps, CJ-5299.

Converted neck inserts are available in FUEL version, with hole and anti-splasher, or DIESEL version with no bottom. Most necks are available in Figure 1 or Figure 2 (thicker thread) versions. We can also provide a 2" extension.
